Four Down, One To Go

Woohoo! The week is almost done. I've lived my whole life waiting for Fridays. As a student, as a teacher, a mother, or as a wife. Weekends are just necessary. They allow us to rejuvanate and continue the life we have chosen. I try to do things on the weekend that I don't do during the week. This weekend my grandson will be staying over on Saturday night. Just some quality time for me and a little rest for his mom and dad.

Today was a pretty good day except for the rain. I'm thinking I must have moved to the rainforest because my backyard is soaked. I am so tired of wiping 8 paws each time they go out, but what's a dog mom to do. I know I would never want to live in Seattle. I couldn't handle all the rain.

Our team ate lunch together today. I believe that only happened once last year. I am being very positive this year and will not let anything or anybody ruin it for me. It's a new year and a new attitude and I have felt so good everyday. I go home and know that I gave my best and put others before me. I also feel like myself again. I'm not having to walk on eggshells. I trust people again, and that's important for me.

Administration has made very few changes this year and they continue to treat us as adults. In the past I didn't feel that way. I like how they listen and take our suggestions. They also have allowed us to work in our rooms and not just kept us in meetings for the heck of it!

I agreed with Tiffany about the dress code for teachers. I know I'm old, but I don't want to see other peoples underwear or cleavage. I'm glad she said something and maybe this year, teacher dress will be better.
